The WVU Industrial Extension is part of the Statler College of Engineering and Mineral Resources, based in the Mining and Industrial Extension Department at West Virginia University. WVU Industrial Extension is also West Virginia’s official representative of the NIST/MEP National Network, a unique public-private partnership that delivers comprehensive, proven solutions to U.S. manufacturers, fueling growth and advancing U.S. manufacturing. This unique arrangement provides the WVU Industrial Extension the opportunity to support the manufacturing community from a national, state and local level.

The WVU Industrial Extension is focused on helping small and mid-sized manufacturers generate business results and thrive in today’s technology-driven economy.

As technologies change, we stay current on manufacturing trends and build new service offerings. We act as a bridge between our clients and our economic development partners, industry focused agencies and third-party providers. Our relationships greatly increase the level of support we can provide and accelerates the access to the services of our partners. Understanding customers, business partners and colleagues is essential to organizational success. We maximize the use of technology to stay connected and share information while working remotely so that we can reach every manufacturer in the state.

With nearly 100 years of combined manufacturing experience from various industries, the WVUIE is focused on helping small and mid-sized manufacturers generate business results and thrive in today’s technology-driven economy.
